St. John's Academy Shawnigan Lake is home to students from Grade 4 through Grade 12. Whether your child is taking their first steps in a new school or preparing to take on the world, they will find a place here where they are known, supported, and genuinely challenged. Junior Years

Grades 4–5

St. John’s Academy welcomes students in Grades 4 and 5 into an inquiry-led environment where intellectual curiosity is nurtured from the very beginning.

Grades 6–10

Middle grade students become independent thinkers, honing their academic and real-world skills as they prepare and plan for their own unique graduation pathway.

Graduation Pathways

St. John's Academy offers a range of thoughtfully designed Pursuits for our senior students. In addition to graduating with the BC Dogwood Diploma, our senior students can choose to participate in the IB Diploma Programme or specialized programs centered on arts, business, nature, and more. Every student follows a path that is made specifically for them. Our school also holds articulation agreements with several leading post-secondary institutions, offering our graduates guaranteed university acceptance and a head start on the next chapter of their lives.

Find Your Path

For students who think in colour, sound, and story, the CREATE Program offers a senior school experience built around artistic practice and creative expression.
The WILD Program is a two-year outdoor education pathway that takes the classroom outside and challenges students to discover what they are truly capable of.
The BEACON Program is designed for students with an entrepreneurial spirit and a curiosity about how the world of business works.
This uniquely flexible Pursuit invites students to build a senior school experience that reflects their own interests, partnering with local experts, businesses, and trades professionals to gain real-world skills and hands-on experience.

St. John's Academy offers boarding for Canadian and international students. Our boarding experience focuses on consideration, accountability, integrity, and perseverance.
